OPEN BETHLEHEM is a documentary about the building of the wall dividing the State of Israel from the Palestinian Territories, and its effect in particular upon the town of Bethlehem.

Disturbing images

The film uses a great deal of real news footage, depicting relations between Israel and the Palestinians, stretching back to 1947. Some of this footage shows bloody marks on the street following rioting, as well as the use of guns. A woman is shown weeping as she rubs her hand on some dried blood, and a long bloody smear is seen on a pavement where a body has been dragged away.

Language

There is some mild bad language, with a spoken use of 'son of a bitch', and a shot of some graffiti on the wall reading "ghetto pimps".
