NIGHT TRAIN TO LISBON is a mystery thriller in which a Swiss professor travels to Lisbon to trace a Portuguese doctor and poet.

Violence

In one scene, the lid of a piano keyboard is slammed down onto a man's hands, after which the assailant beats the man's hands with a mallet-like wooden meat tenderiser. Although the impacts occur below frame, there is occasional sight of the man's bloody hands.

In another scene, an emergency tracheotomy is performed when a woman begins to choke at a dinner table. There is some sight of blood as the doctor makes a small incision in the woman's windpipe and inserts a fountain pen tube, in order to help her breathe.

Nudity

In one scene a man is shown on top of a woman in bed, apparently after sex. As he rolls away, one of the woman's breasts is briefly seen.

Other issues include scenes of adult cigarette smoking. There is also some very mild and mild bad language, including uses of 'bastard', 'bloody' and 'hell'.
