A NIGHT AT THE CINEMA 1914 is a compilation of newsreels, comedy sketches and serials from 1914.

There is footage of an actor in 'brownface', portraying the character of a 'Rollicking Raja' during a comedy song. There are a couple of scenes featuring characters in danger as buildings are set on fire, and there is newsreel footage of people picking their way through the rubble of a ruined town. People are shown smoking cigars and cigarettes. The content is all from 1914 and any issues are set very clearly within a historical context.
