THE NECESSARY DEATH OF CHARLIE COUNTRYMAN is a romantic thriller about a man who travels to Bucharest and falls in love with a woman involved with a violent criminal.
- Language
There is frequent use of strong language with over 50 uses of 'f**k', 3 uses of 'motherf**ker' and a single use of 'c**ksucker'. There is also frequent use of mild bad language such as 'crap','god', 'ass', 'piss', 'bollocks', 'shit', 'friggin' and 'Christ'.
- Violence
There are scenes of strong bloody violence in which a character is punched in the face, with the impact shown in a slow motion, close up shot in which blood sprays out of the character's mouth. There is also a scene in which a character is repeatedly punched in the face with some strong and bloody detail before they have a plastic bag forced over their head. There is also bloody injury detail after a character has been beaten up.
- Sex
There are strong verbal sex references when a character takes viagra and goes to a lap dancing club. During this scene there is a brief sight of an erect penis through a man's trousers but it takes place within a comic context and there is no detail. There is also a brief sex scene between two characters with sight of breast nudity.
- Nudity
There are two scenes in which there is female breast nudity. There are also very brief glimpses of female genital nudity.
- Drugs
There are frequent verbal references to types of drugs that characters have taken whilst staying at a hostel. There is a hallucination scene in which a character is 'tripping' after having their drink spiked with ecstasy but neither the scene nor the drug references encourage or promote drug misuse.
This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
