NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE: A SMALL FAMILY BUSINESS is a recording of a performance of Alan Ayckbourn's play about a man who takes over his family business.

Sex

In one scene a man tries to persuade his wife to have sex by using suggestive language. In another scene, a man refers to people watching "soft porn movies". There are also scenes in which a man and woman wear sexually suggestive outfits.

Violence

There is a scene in which a man is battered against some bath taps, causing blood to briefly spray up the wall.

Drugs

In one scene, a teenage girl asks a teenage boy if he has any cocaine, and he replies that he doesn't use the drug. In another scene, the girl says that she takes drugs and that they are only dangerous if taken regularly.

Language

There is moderate bad language ('bitch'), as well as various uses of milder bad language ('bloody', 'shit', 'bugger', 'balls', 'pissed', 'bastards', 'sod', 'hell', 'God', 'damn'). There is also unendorsed discriminatory language.
