THE NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE: KING LEAR is a recording of a stage performance of the Shakespeare tragedy.

Violence

In one scene, a man is 'waterboarded' before having his eyes gouged out. Elsewhere, injuries are inflicted with bladed weapons, including sight of a throat being slit. There is some sight of stage blood.

There is use of the word 'bastard' in its literal sense, as well as a use of 'bitch'.
