NAGARAJA CHOZHAN M.A, M.L.A. is a Tamil language political satire about a politician who is mixed up in the conflict between big business and environmentalists. The film is rated 12A for moderate bloody violence.

There are several violent sequences in the film, with some spurts of blood when people are shot, and scenes in which people are chased through the streets by a gang of men wielding machetes.

During one of these attacks by the gang, it is strongly implied that a woman is raped. We see her struggling as men hold her down on the ground, then clothes are thrown into the air to suggest she has been stripped. During the attack, we just see close up shots of her face, and the face of her husband who is being held nearby and forced to watch. The audience is not shown any nudity. It is clear afterwards from how everyone reacts that this woman has been raped, but this is not directly shown.

No-one younger than 12 may see a 12A film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult. No-one younger than 12 may rent or buy a 12 rated video or DVD.
