MY NAME IS KHAN is a subtitled Hindi language drama about a man with Asperger's Syndrome who decides to try and meet the President of the United States in order to explain that he is not a terrorist.

Language

A character describes his girlfriend's ex-husband as a "motherf-" but cannot bring himself to complete to term. Later, some partial use of strong language is heard.

There is infrequent use of racist language ('paki', 'towel-head'), although the narrative does not condone the use of these terms.

Violence

There are occasional scenes of moderate violence, including a below screen stabbing with brief sight of a bloodied knife, and a scene in which a young man is kicked and punched by racist youths.

The central theme revolves around religious and racial racial intolerance, with some sympathetic characters bullied and beaten for their beliefs, although the work does not endorse any form of prejudice.

There are also some mild sex references, including a man asking his wife to have sex with him and referring to a manual about sex for dummies.
