MOTHER'S DAY is a 1980 US horror film about three women who go camping in the woods where they are terrorised by two adult brothers and their mother.

Violence

There are several scenes of violence. A man is decapitated and characters are beaten, strangled and suffocated, often in prolonged fashion. In one scene, a woman slams an axe into a man's crotch and blood flows from the wound. There is also a scene in which caustic soda is poured into a man's mouth, causing him to froth at the mouth. In another scene, a rope cuts deeply into a woman's heavily bloodied hands as she lowers another woman to the ground.

There is also a scene of sexual violence in which a woman's breasts are briefly exposed before a man thrusts into her.

There are scenes in which cocaine is snorted and where marijuana is smoked. There is also some male and female nudity, strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker') and some milder terms including 'bitch', 'whoring', 'slut', 'son of a bitch', 'bastards', 'asshole', 'shitting', 'Jesus', 'God', 'hell' and 'damn'.
