MOM AND DAD is a US comedy horror in which unexplained mass hysteria causes parents to attack their children.

There is strong bloody violence and infrequent gory wound detail resulting from stabbings, strangulations, suffocations and shootings. A woman attempts to kill her newborn baby but the infant is not harmed.

Parents attempt to kill their own children, some of whom fight back, resulting in strong, sustained threat throughout the film. In one scene a woman parks her car on railway tracks and leaves it there with her infant child inside. The impact of the train occurs off screen but we are later told that the child has died.

There is frequent use of strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker'). Milder terms include 'pussies', 'bitch', 'whore', 'shit', 'bullshit', 'dick', 'tits', 'ass' and 'piss', in addition to use of the rude 'middle finger' gesture. Infrequent use of discriminatory terms includes 'retarded'; the work as a whole does not condone discriminatory language or behaviour.

A topless woman is shown thrusting her breasts at a man's face.

Infrequent strong verbal sex references include a list of acts performed with sex toys. Another scene contains sounds of sexual moaning without visual detail.

There are infrequent references to drug misuse including a scene in which a teenager smokes a joint and another in which she purchases unidentified pills from a fellow student.

This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
