THE MISSION is a drama, set in the eighteenth century, about a Jesuit order who attempt to protect their mission from colonialists.

Violence

There are scenes of moderate violence, including an indigenous community being attacked by settlers with guns and canons. They defend themselves with swords and bows and arrows. There is brief bloody injury detail.

There is natural nudity. There is infrequent very mild bad language ('damn'). Some characters describe the indigenous people using derogatory terms, equating them to animals.
