MISS BALA is a Mexican drama, in Spanish with English subtitles, about a young woman who dreams of entering a beauty pageant but finds herself drawn into the local drug wars.

Language

There is use of strong language ('f**k'), and milder terms including 'bitch' and 'ass'.

Sex

Strong sex includes a scene in which a woman is persuaded to strip naked by a gang lord. As the man watches, his arm movements suggest he is masturbating. The man is then shown kneeling behind the woman, and it's implied that he's thrusting into her from behind.

Violence

Strong violence includes a gun battle between the warring sides, resulting in blood spurts and sight of victims lying in large pools of blood.

There are scenes of natural nudity, and several verbal references to drugs.
