MAX is a drama about a U.S. military working dog that returns from service in Afghanistan and is adopted by his former handler's family.

Threat

There are frequent scenes of moderate threat, including soldiers in war situations searching for bombs and weapons; guard dogs being set on people, threats to harm children and animals, and frequent gun threat.

Violence

Moderate violence includes some heavy hand to hand combat blows and punches, one with a pistol to a man's face, and soldiers being ambushed and several killed without detail when an IED explodes. One prolonged sequence shows the aftermath of violence in which a man lies dead on some rocks.

Other issues include mild bad language ('screw', 'butt', 'frickin') and a bereavement theme.

This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
