MATHILDE is a Russian language historical drama in which a ballerina has an affair with the future Tsar.

Sex

There is a brief sex scene in which a man and woman roll around together naked, kissing on a couch. The woman's bare breasts are visible. There is also breast and buttock nudity during other scenes. In one, a ballerina's costume comes loose during a live performance, exposing her breast, but she continues undeterred.

There are scenes in which a man is tortured by being submerged underwater. There is also a brief hanging scene. Other scenes of violence involve exchanges of punches.

There is moderate bad language ('bitch', 'whore').

There are also scenes of threat, including a passenger train being derailed, resulting in a horse being shot, and a woman being abducted and briefly set on fire by an obsessive admirer.

This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
