MATANGI/MAYA/M.I.A. is a documentary about the British singer's rise to fame, her campaigning work and her Sri Lankan roots.

Disturbing images

Photographs from the Sri Lankan Civil War show two hanged children. Video footage shows the execution of a man by gunshot.

There are dramatised images of violence, including the execution of a child by gunshot.

There are references to acts of sexual violence perpetrated during the war. There is use of strong language ('f**k').

This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
