Note: The following text may contain spoilers

MARMADUKE is a comedy film about the adventures of a Great Dane dog who moves to California with his owners and tries to make friends with the residents of the local dog park.

Threat

Scenes containing mild threat are limited to the brief appearance of a large, shadowy dog who is reputed to have killed his master but later turns out to be simply misunderstood, and the climactic scenes in which two characters are placed in some danger as they are swept through the city’s drainage system.

The film also contains some slapstick humour as the animal characters cause chaos by crashing into furniture and people, or occasionally have comical fights with computer generated animals replacing the live ones.

There is some mild language, including uses of ‘butt’, ‘jerk’ and ‘screwed’ and there are also some instances of very mild crude humour as the animal characters break wind or urinate onto furniture and into drinks. In addition, there are two scenes that could be construed as drugs references as characters react to tranquilized food or are seen relaxing amongst a field of mushrooms.
