Summary THE MACHINE is a sci-fi thriller set in the near future with a global war looming. As top MOD scientist Vincent (Toby Stephens) is briefed with developing the ultimate killing machine, he creates the first fully conscious robot, but against orders he makes it in the image of his lost love, plunging him into a battle for his survival. In cinemas 21 March.

THE MACHINE is a science fiction film about a man who creates a self-aware piece of female artificial intelligence.


There are scenes in which people are shot or stabbed, resulting in blood spurts. There is a scene in which a man's arm is broken, exposing bone. In another scene, it is implied that a man's skull is crushed, blood leaking from his eyes.

There is infrequent strong language ('f**k') and mild bad language ('bugger', 'bloody', 'bastard', 'arse'). There are also some scenes in which a woman's breasts are visible beneath her clothing.
