Note: The following text may contain spoilers

MACBETH is a film adaptation of Shakespeare's Scottish play.

Sex

There are various images of a man and woman lying under covers in bed, which incudes sounds of them breathless and moaning. However, there is limited visual detail apart from the man cupping the woman's breast over the bed sheet and the pair kissing in between dialogue.

Violence

Moderate violence includes a woman's throat being slit, which is shown briefly and from a distance with aftermath blood sprayed on a wall in a stylistic manner. There is also brief sight of a man hanging from a rope as a camera moves from one scene to another.

Injury detail

There is moderate gore when a tableau of people standing together shows one man holding a severed head; however this is briefly shown and from a distance.
