MACBETH is a recording of a performance of Shakespeare's tragedy at the Globe in 2013.

Violence

Several murders are shown on stage, and these include sight of stabbings and a suggestion that a man's throat is cut. Blood is sometimes seen, for example when people return from murders that have taken place off-stage, and when the ghost of the man whose throat was cut appears with a streak of red around his neck. The theatrical setting is very clear, with the live theatre audience often visible in the background.
