THE LUNCHBOX is a subtitled Hindi language drama about the relationship between an office clerk and a housewife, which develops after a mistaken lunch-box delivery prompts them to start writing to each other.

Suicide

There is a brief verbal and visual reference to suicide when the main female character is heard reading from a letter to the male character. She describes hearing, in the news, about a woman who jumped off a building with her daughter. She wonders what went through the woman's mind and whether it took courage for her to jump from a tall building. In response, the man discourages her from thinking about such things and responds positively by saying that things are not as bad as they seem. There are some brief shots of the suicidal woman as she walks up some steps to the roof of the building with her daughter. There is no sight of the woman jumping from the rooftop.

Language

The film also contains one use of mild bad language ('bloody').
