LUIS AND THE ALIENS is a sci-fi animation in which a young boy neglected by his Ufologist father encounters three extra-terrestrials who are on a mission to Earth.

Threat

A man has a nightmare in which his childhood self is chased by a large, insect-like alien. Later, the alien appears and chases the main characters. However, it does not harm anyone and any threat is brief, broken up by comic moments, and places a focus on the hero's resourcefulness. There are also scenes in which the friendly aliens tie up and hide a woman while impersonating her.

Theme

There are comic instances of belching, references to the shape of bottoms, a friendly alien's failed attempts at womanising and some very mild innuendo.

Language

Infrequent very mild bad language includes use of 'heck' and 'butthead'. The protagonist is also bullied at school for his father's eccentricities, with him being referred to as 'nuts' and 'loony'.

In one sequence an alien unwittingly drinks detergent and proceeds to burp bubbles across the ensuing scenes. However, the work does not glamorise or promote potentially harmful imitable behaviour.
