LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW is a video game in which an 18 year old cheerleader, who is also a zombie hunter, must take on a zombie invasion at her high school in order to save her town. The game was classified '18' for strong gory violence and sex references.

The game contains frequent slaying of zombies with chainsaws. Limbs can be severed and blood is shown in spurts, albeit not particularly realistically. Opponents quickly disappear after 'death' so no post mortem damage can be inflicted. The player character can athletically attack zombies by jumping and ducking around them, allowing the chainsaw to slice the zombies in half. Despite the violence the game has a light and humourous tone. Nonetheless, the focus on relentless bloodletting exceeds the terms of the BBFC's Guidelines at '15' which state 'Violence may be strong but should not dwell on the infliction of pain or injury'.

The player character, Juliet, can be dressed in a variety of outfits, including bikinis. This lends the game a slightly sexual tone, although there is no nudity or sex. References are made to sexual behaviour, including an oblique reference to oral sex. There are several uses of strong language, including uses in the sexual sense.
