THE LOFT is a US thriller in which the body of young woman is discovered in a loft apartment, which has been secretly purchased by five married men for the purpose of conducting extra-marital adventures.

There are approximately fifty uses of strong language ('f**k'). There is also moderate and mild bad language, including uses of 'asshole', 'bastards', 'bitch', 'bullshit', 'crap', 'dick', 'prick', 'shit' and 'whore'.

There some brief flashback clips of couples having sex. In one scene, a woman's exposed shoulders are visible as she lies on top of a man and 'rides' him. He then rolls her onto her back and thrusts into her. In another scene, a man thrusts into the rear of a young woman as he cups her left breast in his hand. The couple are covered from the waist down by a white sheet. The film also contains some moderate to strong verbal sex references. For example, in one scene a young woman says, "I'm a whore. I'm a prostitute. I f**k men for money".

Injury detail

Throughout the film there are several shots of a dead woman lying face down in bed, the bed linen being soaked in blood. In a flashback scene, we see a man grasping the dead woman's arm and slashing her wrist with a large carving knife. Dark, thick blood oozes from and surrounds the incision.

The film includes a scene of cocaine snorting and the sight of 'lines' of white powder on a coffee table.

Other issues include infrequent moderate violence, references to suicide, and male and female buttock nudity.
