THE LIMEHOUSE GOLEM is a period crime drama in which a detective investigates a series of murders in the hope of clearing a young woman's name.

Violence

Scenes include stabbings, throat cuttings and dismemberment. There are brief gory images, including sight of internal organs, a severed head and a severed penis, and corpses with facial disfigurements.

There is a sequence of sexual violence in which a husband forces himself on his wife, and infrequent references implying men are engaging in sexual activity with children.

Sex

Sequences include breast and buttock nudity, a woman riding a man and male thrusting. There are also small photographic images of people performing bondage or S&M activity, but these are brief and do not dwell on detail.

There is infrequent use of strong language ('f**k') and moderate bad language including 'whore'.
