LE DOULOS is a black and white French drama, from 1962, set in the criminal underworld.

Violence

There are various shootings with some sight of blood and injuries in the aftermath. A woman is slapped, punched and tied up by a man, resulting in blood dripping from her nose.

Other issues include brief breast nudity after implied sex, a verbal reference to whether a character is involved in drugs (heroin and 'coke'), and some mild bad language including 'shit', 'bloody' and 'bastard'. Adult characters smoke cigarettes.
