THE LAST EXORCISM - PART II (2013)

THE LAST EXORCISM PART II is a horror sequel about a young woman who is possessed by an evil spirit. It is rated 15 for sustained strong threat and horror.

There is a sustained sense of threat and horror from the start of the film, which opens with a flashback to the previous instalment, showing a possessed woman screaming and her body bending backwards as her bones crack. In the following scene, an unseen figure beneath a duvet attacks a man as he lies in bed. Elsewhere we see a young woman contorting on a bed as her bones crack and foam pours from her mouth. There is also a scene in which the young woman recalls her previous possession by an evil spirit and a bloody foetus emerges from between her legs while flies crawl into her mouth. Towards the end of the film, there is a prolonged exorcism which includes the possessed young woman screaming as her stomach contorts. There are also some brief gory scenes, which include sight of a man cutting his own throat, although there is no detailed sight of the throat-cutting. These scenes of threat and horror occur in a realistic modern setting.

The film also contains scenes in which the young woman appears to become sexually aroused. In the first scene, she listens through the wall to a couple engaged in increasingly noisy sexual activity in the next room. In the second scene, an unseen force appears to climb on top of her as she lies asleep and she becomes sexually responsive as the string on her nightdress is removed before she is lifted off the bed.

The film also contains one use of strong language ('f**k') and some moderate and mild language.
