LADIES is a French comedy drama in which a middle-aged woman finds a new lease on life after her breast cancer goes into remission.

Sex

There are occasional verbal sex references throughout, including a man asking a woman "can I eat you out?" and a woman saying that her husband "screws all the girls at the office". There are further references to pornography and to 'shagging'.

Language

There is infrequent strong language ('f**k'), alongside milder terms including 'bitch', 'damn', 'crap', 'asshole', 'shit' and 'ass'. At one point, the a teenage girl is told off for wearing a t-shirt with the word 'f**k' printed on it.

Drugs

A teenage girl smokes marijuana and later bursts into a fit of giggles at the dinner table, admitting to her family that she is 'stoned'. Subsequently, the girl's father jokingly asks another guest whether she'd like some cocaine with her food.

There is brief natural breast and buttock nudity.

The theme of illness is handled sensitively, with a focus is on the central character's determination to enjoy life in the face of adversity.
