LA STRADA is an Italian drama, from 1954, in which a young woman is sold to a travelling circus performer.

Violence

Occasional scenes of mild violence include fist fights, brief knife threat, and sequences in which a woman is slapped and manhandled by her partner. However, the scenes do not dwell on the infliction of pain or show injury detail.

Language

There is infrequent use of mild bad language ('bastard') and the term 'gypsy' in reference to travellers.

Sex

A woman is asked if she likes to "make love" and a man is said to "go with women", implying promiscuous behaviour.
