Note: The following text may contain spoilers

LA RONDINE is a Metropolitan Opera performance of Puccini's opera.

Sex

There is a sequence in which people in a drunken bar laugh as a woman wiggles her hips after a man has landed under her dress. No nudity is shown. In one scene a man states that if he wants fun on a night out he should go "to bed", while in another scene two women sing "He's a prince from a far off land, who's too good for our beds!"

The first act takes place in front of a large background which features paintings of young women, with some of them naked. On occasion some adult characters are seen smoking cigarettes and cigars. In one sequence a woman screams as she is briefly pulled by her hair along the floor of a bar.
