LA FANCIULLA DEL WEST is a 2010 live recording of Giacomo Puccini's three-act opera performed by the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

Violence

Mild violence includes a barroom brawl in which punches are exchanged, a man with minor facial injuries being slapped and knocked to the floor and a character being shot. The shot man holds a slightly bloody handkerchief to his chest and a little later drops of blood fall from the loft in which the injured man is hiding onto characters standing below.

Language

There is a single subtitled use of the term 'sonofabitch'. There is also some very mild bad language, including uses of 'damn', 'damned' and 'god'.

Other issues include an interrupted lynching in which a man is dragged to a scaffold and a rope noose placed around his neck. However, another character intervenes and the lynch mob are persuaded to release the man unharmed.
