KING LEAR: LIVE FROM SHAKESPEARE'S GLOBE is a recording of a 2017 live performance of the tragedy, in which an aging monarch attempts to divide his kingdom between his daughters.

Violence

In one scene it is implied a man's eyes are gouged out. There is no strong detail, but he cries out and blood is then visible on his face and his attacker's hands. In subsequent scenes the blinded man wears a bloodied bandage over his eyes and has blood on his cheeks. Other scenes of violence are highly stylised and theatrical.

There are occasional mild sex references and innuendo, and occasional use of mild bad language including 'whoreson', 'whore' and 'bitch'.
