Note: The following text may contain spoilers

THE KIDNAPPING OF MICHEL HOUELLEBECQ is a subtitled French language comedy drama and self-portrait, in which the French author, playing himself, is kidnapped and held hostage by three men.

Language

There are six uses of strong language ('f**k' and 'motherf**ker'). There is also mild bad language, including uses of 'ass', 'butt', 'crap', 'dickhead', 'pisses' and 'screw'.

Nudity

Two scenes include full frontal female nudity. In one, a dream sequence, a naked woman lies on a bed. In the second, in what appears to be a post-coital situation, a naked woman, almost certainly a prostitute, gets out of bed and begins to get dressed.

Other issues include moderate verbal sex references, a brief and discreet portrayal of sexual activity, and several scenes of adult cigarette smoking.
