KENNY is a documentary about the former football player and manager, Kenny Dalglish.

Language

As the camera pans across graffiti on a wall, the phrase "Honkey's, f**k off" is briefly visible. There are also rude gestures, including the 'middle finger' gesture and a sign referencing masturbation. All other language is mild and includes uses of 'hell', 'bastard', 'piss' and 'arse'.

There are references to racist behaviour and attitudes during the 1980s, including brief archival footage of a policeman grabbing a black man by the neck. There is also footage of riots and football disasters, including the aftermath of the Heysel Stadium and Hillsborough disasters, in which dead bodies are seen lying on the ground covered in sheets.
