KELLY + VICTOR is a drama based on the novel by Niall Griffiths. The film follows the development of a sadomasochistic relationship between the title characters. It is rated 18 for strong fetish sex and very strong language.

There are a number of scenes of strong sex between the main characters, many of which include elements of erotic asphyxiation. The film does emphasise the potential dangers, and possible tragic consequences, of breath restriction during sex. In one scene, we see Victor strangling himself with a belt as he masturbates alone, albeit without any explicit sight of the masturbation. In another scene, it is implied that Kelly is cutting Victor's back with a piece of glass. Victor, who is restrained at the time, yells in pain and the emphasis of the scene is firmly on his reaction, rather than on the actual cutting. At one point, we see Kelly accompanying a female dominatrix to a sadomasochistic session with one of her rich male clients. We see the man tied up and being whipped by the dominatrix, as both women physically and verbally taunt him as part of the role play.

There are six uses of very strong language ('c**t'), all of which are aggressive and sometimes accompanied by threat or violence, as well as multiple uses of strong language ('f**k') throughout.

The film also contains scenes of hard drug use, including the snorting of white powder. Additionally, there are scenes of strong violence, including sight of Kelly being attacked by a former boyfriend, leaving her head bloodied.

No-one younger than 18 may see an 18 rated film in the cinema. No-one younger that 18 may rent or buy an 18 rated video or DVD.
