KAPRINGEN - A HIJACKING is a subtitled Danish drama about the hijacking of a Danish cargo ship by Somali pirates and the lengthy negotiations that follow the ransom demand.

Language

There is strong langauge ('f**k'). There is also some milder bad language (for example 'piss', 'crap', 'hell', 'Jesus Christ', and 'bloody').

There is a sense of threat throughout most of the film as the crew are held at gunpoint by the pirates. One crew member is shot, although this is not shown onscreen.

In one scene live goats are brought on board after the ship's food supplies run low. The ship's chef is forced to kill a goat. The actual killing is not shown, although the animal is subsequently seen bleeding from the neck.

In some scenes, men are forced to urinate in the same room where they are being held hostage and there is a verbal reference to another man having defecated in the room, although none of this is shown.
