JOURNAL DE FRANCE is a French documentary profiling French photographer, photojournalist and documentary filmmaker, Raymond Depardon.

Violence

There is actual footage of people shooting at one another, sight of a body on the floor, and sight of men covered in blood. The footage is grainy and black and white: the images are not especially gory.

Suicide

Depardon is shown following a French ambulance crew. They talk about a call they took earlier that day, to the scene of a suicide. There are some references to what the crew found, including the fact the man had used a cord to hang himself.

There is use of mild bad language, such as 'shitty' and 'pissed off'.
