JIGSAW is a black and white murder drama from 1962, about a young woman who is found dead and whose murderer evades detection by the police.
There are some references to the behaviour of a travelling salesman who regularly seduces some of the housewives he meets on his travels. There is a scene in which he is seen unfastening a woman's dressing gown.
A woman is attacked by an unseen assailant who clamps a hand over her mouth. Subsequent police investigations reveal the discovery of a dead body but this is never shown.
There are frequent scenes of smoking.
