Note: The following text may contain spoilers

JANE EYRE is an adaptation of Charlotte Brontë's novel about a governess who falls for the master of a house, only to make a shocking discovery.

Violence

There is a brief scene of mild violence when a boy hits a girl hard on the head with a book, drawing blood.

Injury detail is also mild when a character tends to a man's back wound, with brief close-up sight of bloody detail, as well as sight of his damaged flesh and tissue.

There is a mildly unsettling tone during scenes in which characters hear strange noises in the house. There is also a passing reference to the suicide of a character.
