ISN'T LIFE WONDERFUL is a British comedy romance set in 1902, about an alcoholic 'black sheep' of a family who is given a bicycle shop to run by his brother-in-law so that the family can impress an American heiress.

Discrimination

One scene features a fairground performer blacked up to give him the appearance of someone of Middle Eastern origin. There is no comment on this, and it occurs in a historical context.

The film also contains mild slapstick.
