INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE is the third film in the Indiana Jones franchise, in which Indiana Jones' father goes missing while pursuing the Holy Grail. It was originally rated PG for cinema release in 1989, and subsequently rated PG on video. This cinema re-release is also rated PG, for moderate violence and mild horror.
Violence largely consists of shootings, including some sight of blood patches indicating impacts. However, these moments are brief and there is no lingering on the blood or injury. In one scene a tank driver is shot in the head, through his turban, with a small trickle of blood seen on his forehead. In another scene a young soldier is sent to a cave entrance where a trap decapitates him. This happens off screen, without bloodshed, however, his severed head is shown bouncing down the steps.
Mild horror occurs when a man ignores warnings about picking the wrong cup to drink from. When he drinks from a cup he is rapidly reduced to a skeleton and then dust.
PG stands for Parental Guidance. A PG film should not disturb a child aged around eight or older. However, parents are advised to consider whether the content may upset younger or more sensitive children.
