IDENTITY THIEF is a comedy drama about a man whose identity has been stolen. When he tracks down the woman responsible, he finds that drug dealers and a bounty hunter are also pursuing her. It is rated 15 for strong sex, sex references and strong language.

Strong sex and sex references include a scene showing thrusting movements with accompanying loud noises, but only the couple's heads and faces are seen as they shout phrases such as ‘get on top’, ‘break my f***ing hip’ and ‘stick it in, stick them both in’. In a bubble bath, it is suggested that a woman places the shower head between her legs, with an indication that she has an orgasm. However, the bubbles in the bath conceal any detail. Other sex references include, ‘Walt likes to watch, he likes to watch me with other men, that’s the only time he gets aroused’, ‘Are you hard now?’ and, ‘I think he really ripped it, you’ll have to look’ as a woman says she feels sore the morning after sex.

The film also contains scenes of moderate violence in which various people are shot in the neck, leg and foot. But little detail is shown apart from a blood spurt from the leg, and there is no focus on the pain or discomfort of victims. There are also scenes of comic violence as the main female character is shown punching others in the throat. She thinks it is funny, while others react in pain. The dangers of the technique are clearly shown.

IDENTITY THIEF contains uses of strong language ('f**k' and 'motherf***er') as well as use of 'crap', 'shit', 'bullshit', 'bitch', 'asshole' and 'whore'.

No-one younger than 15 may see a 15 rated film in the cinema. No-one younger than 15 may rent or buy a 15 rated video or DVD.
