THE ICEMAN is a biopic about a hitman who worked for the mob in the New York area between the 1950s and 1980s. It is rated 15 for strong language, one use of very strong language, and strong violence.

The film contains frequent use of strong language ('f**k' and 'motherf**ker') and a single use of very strong language ('c**t'). The single example of very strong language occurs when a hitman describes his ex-wife. However, she is not present at the time.

There are frequent acts of violence as people are killed using guns and poisons. There are some bloody moments, including sight of blood splatting onto the windows of a car when a man is shot inside the vehicle, although such detail is not dwelt upon. There is also some sight of bodies after people have been murdered and frozen, including thawing body parts being cut up for disposal.

There is some sight of porn films being viewed, although without any strong sexual detail shown.

There is brief sight of cocaine packets during a drug deal.

No-one younger than 15 may see a 15 rated film in the cinema. No-one younger than 15 may rent or buy a 15 rated video or DVD.
