HYDE PARK ON HUDSON tells of the visit by King George VI and Queen Consort Elizabeth to America in 1939, staying with President Franklin Roosevelt at his country retreat. It also focuses on an extra-marital affair that Roosevelt was having with a distant cousin. The film is rated 12A for a moderate sex scene and one use of strong language.
In one scene Roosevelt takes his cousin on a drive in the country. He places her hand on his leg and it is implied that she masturbates him. The latter activity is handled discreetly. It is seen from outside the parked car, at a distance, implied by the upper body movement of the characters.
A single use of strong language ('f**k') is used by a Secret Service agent when he stumbles and falls. It is not directed at anyone, but rather is an exclamation of frustration.
No-one younger than 12 may see a 12A film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult. No-one younger than 12 may rent or buy a 12 rated video or DVD.
