HOT PURSUIT is a comedy drama about an inept police officer who is tasked with protecting the widow of a drug dealer from criminals and corrupt policemen.

Language

Two uses of implied strong language ('motherf...'), as well as milder terms including 'bitch', 'shit' and 'ass'.

Sex

Verbal and visual sex references include a female couple, who are pretending to be gay, grabbing each others' buttocks and making thrusting gestures. In another comic scene a nerdy character says she wants to have a lot of sex and a 'dirty sex time' with the occupants of a tour coach, in order to be let on, only to find the passengers are elderly. There are also euphemisms for genitalia and references to sex.

Violence

There are a few shoot-outs without blood, brief sight of a dark wet patch indicating blood on clothing, and two comic scenes showing a cop using a taser on a man whose shirt catches fire. Another comic scene shows a man accidentally shooting off his own finger, with brief sight of blood and the severed finger being held. There are also frequent scenes of comic violence and slapstick, featuring gunshots and stunts.

Drugs

Visual and verbal references to drugs include sight of bags of white powder in a police raid, a huge cloud of white powder in the air after a car crash (the powder identified as 'baking powder'), and a woman who is heard ranting to herself, suggesting she's inadvertently been affected by drugs which were in the air.

There are also references to menstruation.
