Drugs

In one scene, drug addicts inject themselves with opiates, accompanied by scenes showing other addicts seemingly under the influence of drugs. However, the scenes are aversive and drug misuse is not condoned.

Suicide

The film contains some suicide references. In one scene, the doctor recalls a male patient committing suicide following the prescription of pain medication. In another scene, a woman states that her family contemplated mass suicide after her children inherited a congenital disease. However, she says they did not go through with it.
