HIMMATWALA is a subtitled Hindi language comedy action drama. After many years in exile a man returns to his home village in order to take revenge on the man responsible for his father's death. The film is rated 12A for moderate violence and injury detail.
Although much of the film's violence is comic and slapstick in nature, there are some fight scenes that feature stronger detail. These include a cage fight, during which an opponent is dispatched with a flying slow motion elbow strike to the chest, and a fight in the back of a truck that includes a number of crunchy blows. This fight scene includes a double arm break, a neck break, and sight of a man's head being smashed through the roof of the truck, leaving him hanging by his neck. There are a few scenes in which blood and injury detail are seen. For example, streaks of blood are seen on a man's face, chest and arms after he is mauled to death by a tiger. In another scene blood drips to the ground after a man grasps the blade of an opponent's knife in his hand.
One scene shows a man's feet dangling a few inches above the ground, implying he has committed suicide. There is no further detail.
There is a single use of the Hindi word for 'bastard', which is not translated in the English subtitles. The film also includes some very mild bad language, including subtitled uses of 'bum', 'God' and 'hell'. There are also some mild verbal sex references.
No-one younger than 12 may see a 12A film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult. No-one younger than 12 may rent or buy a 12 rated video or DVD.
