HIGHWAY is a Hindi language drama focusing on the relationship between a well-to-do young woman who is suddenly kidnapped, and the troubled criminal who has kidnapped her. It is rated 12A for moderate bloody violence and threat.

There are a number of scenes of moderate threat, such as when the main female character is kidnapped at gunpoint by criminals and bundled away in a car. She is taken to a desolate field, with a cloth rammed in her mouth, and she is harshly slapped several times. Later in the film, there is some moderate bloody violence when a man is shot twice by snipers, with the second gunshot injury depicted with a slow motion blood spurt from the man's chest.

The film contains mild bad language in Hindi and English (eg 'saala', 'bullshit', 'bastard', 'ass').

No-one younger than 12 may see a 12A film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult. No-one younger than 12 may rent or buy a 12 rated video or DVD.
