THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT is a horror thriller about a family with a teenaged son receiving cancer treatment, who rent a house with a supernaturally murky past involving embalming, necromancy and seances.

THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT was passed ‘15’ for strong supernatural horror and disturbing images.

The film shows a number of embalming implements, images of dead people, mummified bodies, ghosts, bodies with text carved into their skins and one scene in which a 1920s necromancer removes the eyelid from a corpse with a pair of scissors, having written on the body with a scalpel. BBFC Guidelines state that at '15' ‘Strong threat and menace are permitted. The strongest gory images are unlikely to be acceptable'. Gory images and threat in this feature are moderate to strong and fall within the allowance for '15'.
