HACKSAW RIDGE is a US war drama based on the true story of Desmond Doss, a conscientious objector who served as a combat medic during World War Two.

Violence

There are extended and intense battle scenes in which many soldiers are killed or wounded. There are large blood spurts and injury detail when soldiers are shot, blown up or stabbed.

Injury detail

Shots of dead bodies, decaying corpses and severed limbs feature strong grisly detail, as well as other bloody wounds suffered by soldiers in battle.

Bad language includes 'son of a bitch', 'ass' and 'pissing'. There is also a mouthed use of 'f**k' and the racist term 'nips'.
