THE GREEN INFERNO is a horror film in which a group of student activists travel to Peru, where they encounter a tribe of cannibals.

Violence

There are several scenes of strong bloody violence. In one scene, a conscious man has his eyes gouged out, his tongue cut out, and then his limbs hacked off. Other scenes include gory throat cuttings and a man being torn apart and eaten alive.

Other issues include approximately forty uses of strong language ('f**k' and 'motherf**ker'), brief nudity, marijuana smoking, and undetailed visual and verbal references to female genital mutilation during a university lecture on the subject.
